Just finished work and unfortunately couldn't make it to Kill Em All in Brighton tonight with Riton and Solo, but I do come home however to a new remix from 21 year old Kye aka Foamo, of Major Lazer's Bruk Out. Foamo keeps the catchy melody from the original and expands on it by bringing his own notorious bassline sound to the table and keeping the vocals that made the original so good.
With a successful year already under its belt Sound Pellegrino delivers another outstanding release this time from Dutch producer Bart B More. Take an accordion sample, pitch it up and down, throw in some solid world beat percussions and you've got Romane; Sound Pellegrino prooving again that "Less Is More". However one thing that shouldn't go unnoticed are the remixes for this EP. Sound Pellegrino have really worked hard and put together a set of remarkable remixes from Gucci Vump, Para One, French Fries & Bambounou and Rubix with the Gucci Vump being my undeniable favourite. Mad props on the artwork again. Best covers around by far.

Month Of Love : Valentine Mix 2010 by Oneman on Mixcloud

The man is back again. Probably the mixes I look forward to the most from any artist at the moment. With a huge releases on Sound Pellegrino last year and his most recent "garage" remix of Wiley doing the rounds I have faith that Solo along with best friend Mowgli will be tearing it up with some new productions this year.
One thing I did miss over the weekend whilst attending Decked Out was tuning into, man of the moment, Riva Starr's debut essential mix. Having only released his debut album "If Life Gives You Lemons, Make Lemonade" last month, which I have to add is an amazing album name, on Made To Play its seen positive feedback from absolutely everyone. Hailing from Naples but London based its nice to see an Italian producer gain such great feedback. With the man already booked out for the rest of the year 2010 will definitely be the year for Mr Riva Starr.

Whilst still on the remix package vibe Sound Of Stereo released a remix package of their Zipper EP yesterday with remixes from Beataucue, LA Riots and Mikix The Cat. Whilst I thought the remixes on the Zombie Nation package required a couple of listens for them to grow on you, these are instant hits and are certain to set the dance floor alight. Love the artwork for the EP too. Again no download this time but available to buy everywhere.
New remix package of Zombie Nations hit album Zombielicious. The first remix package was a massive success and had artists like Proxy, Shadow Dancer and Arveene & Misk take on the role of remixing different tracks from the album. The second remix package see's Harvard Bass, Jori Hulkkonen, Rebolledo and Franz & Shape attempting to spruce things up a little. My personal opinion on them is that on first listen they may seem a bit boring but after a couple of listens they have soon started to grow on me with the Franz & Shape one being my personal favourite. Unfortunately I cant give the remix package away but you can find them available to buy online at Beatport, Juno, Itunes etc.
Everyones been watching this young producer from France for a while now. Tipped to be on the forefront of extremely young producers slowly taking over he finally released his debut EP out on the Youngunsz label yesterday. Two original pieces of productions titled "Senta" and "Predator" and 3 remixes from Tomb Crew, Beataucue and Bok Bok all bringing their own distinct flavour to the table. With huge support from Brodinski, who has been smashing his tracks for a while, this EP is needs to be looked into.
Big Essential Mix this week from London based producer and dj Four Tet whose style incorporates a whole host of elements such as Hip Hop, Techno, Electronica and Jazz to name a few. With four albums under his belt and new one out next month titled "There Is Love In You", this producer has been lucky to remix artists such as Aphex Twin, Bonobo, Nathan Fake, Radiohead and even collaborate with Burial to produce the great track Moth. Check him out at his myspace and website and leave him a nice comment.
Brand new mix from Neoteric for the White Light instalment. After creating a huge buzz with his Mystery mix for Discobelle this mix is an absolute must. This is what the man himself had to say:
Hailing from Leeds, Ghosts of Venice, also known as one half of Youth Attack, is slowly becoming one of the UK's finest filter disco house producers, bringing his own approach to the genre. Having already conquered clubs with his own club night and label Kill The Rhythm and had huge success under the Youth Attack moniker its nice to see a producer handle a completely new genre so well. You definitely know your dealing with a talented producer. He describes his new E.P as a tribute to 80's diva Whitney Houston with a nod to house legends "Le Knight Club". Two original tracks, 3 remixes and a great video has seen great feedback from artists such as Grum, The Phantom's Revenge, Laberge and even Radio 1.
Ok, new producer that I was lucky to come across the other day via the lovely people over at the Erol Alkan Forum. If I'm totally honest all I know about this artist is that he hails from Scotland and he's called Clouds. We'll let the music just do all the talking shall we but mark my word I think this guy is going to blow up very soon thanks to some very clean cut productions and huge electro basslines. Check him out at his myspace HERE
New mix from London producer/dj/Graphic Design Bok Bok, filled with lots of new big exclusives from the man himself and other up and coming artists such as Mosca, Untold and Kingdom.
Hailing from South Canada although based in Orlando Florida, South Rakkas Crew is made up of Dow Jones and Alex who are proving that combining electro and dancehall makes up for a pleasant combination. Having been exposed to a host of different genres whilst growing ranging from Hip Hop, House, Jungle, Salsa and Electro to name a few, this has been incorporated into their music brilliantly allowing them to switch and combine different types of music seamlessly. They recently teamed up with Mad Decent (Diplo's Label) to release a completely free album. Its apparently been a lot of hard work and been in the pipeline for a while but here it is for you in full 320 glory.Riding on a rainbow from Charlotte L'Harmeroult on Vimeo.
Noob takes an IDM approach with his new track. Video was made by French artist Charlotte L'Harmeroult which is also pretty good.
